Mike has been smitten with Debra for some time and is looking forward to the move and his new life, but he will take away some fond memories of Kaikoura.
"I'm going home for family reasons, to spend a bit of time with my parents, and ironically enough to go back to a girl who I knew even before I came out here." Mike has left Kaikoura for pastures new, following his heart and returning to Britain.
